Onsite Medical Representative

The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team sets the strategic direction to provide resources, best practices and safe environments to manage the health and wellbeing of our workforce. The Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS) to provide first‑aid support, risk education and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first‑aid support and refer to outside medical providers as needed.
• Educate and engage Amazon Associates (AAs) to minimize injury risk through awareness and coaching.
• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
• Coordinate and maintain the workers’ compensation and return‑to‑work programs for work‑related injuries.
• Provide daily activity logs and end‑of‑shift reports.
• Engage with AAs and leadership on the operations floor to coach on observed at‑risk work habits.
• Maintain a clean working environment and adequate medical supply inventory.
• Participate in training and certification for first‑aid, CPR and AED.
• Maintain all first‑aid, CPR and AED credentials.
• Work flexible shifts (days, nights, holidays and/or weekends).
• Assist with random saliva drug‑testing protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and support on‑site emergency response.

Additional Job Elements

• Lift up to 49 lbs; frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Stand or walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures, including outside loading areas.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable).

Basic Qualifications

• High‑school or equivalent diploma.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
• And one of the following:
  Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from the Department of Health, NREMT, or equivalent; or Current active Athletic Trainer certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified to teach first‑aid, CPR and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital record keeping.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program, musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics and body‑mechanics coaching.
• Demonstrated experience with OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation.
• Experience managing the care of employees with injuries in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Military combat medic experience within the past year (U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force).

Compensation – Base pay ranges from $48,800 per year in the lowest geographic market to $71,000 per year in the highest. Additional equity, sign‑on payments and benefits may be offered. For full details visit Amazon Employee Benefits.
