Assistant Medical Director Emergency Medicine (Greater Fort Lauderdale Area) Full-Time Mixed Shifts Rotating Weekends Opportunity Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Medical Director to join and help lead a busy, high-performing emergency department in the Fort Lauderdale area. This is a unique leadership role ideal for an Emergency Medicine physician looking to make a meaningful impact in clinical operations, medical education, and patient care innovation.

Emergency Department Highlights Annual ED volume:
Approx. 55,000 visits Beds: 43 Coverage: 55 hours/day physician + 20 hours/day APP Robust support from hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7 Cutting-edge care including comprehensive stroke services and interventional cardiac catheterization

Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversee patient flow and quality assurance Collaborate across disciplines to ensure efficient and exceptional care delivery Mentor medical residents, PAs, and medical students from newly accredited EM residency programs Leverage advanced EMR systems:
Meditech, Pdoc, and Dragon dictation Contribute to the development and implementation of advanced emergency medicine services Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Active ACLS and PALS certifications Proven leadership capabilities and a patient-centered clinical philosophy Compensation & Structure Position offered as a 1099 Independent Contractor Occurrence-based malpractice insurance included No floor codes or hospital consult responsibilities Located just west of Fort Lauderdale, offers the perfect blend of suburban tranquility and urban convenience:
