Cessna 206 Pilot / Bear View Tour Guide for 2026 season. Daily Rate DOE.

- Bay Air is based in beautiful Homer, Alaska. Homer is a vibrant coastal town and is on the road system. K
-Bay Air has a fleet of Cessna 206s on wheels and Beavers on floats. We offer summertime bear viewing tours on the coasts of Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks in addition to On-Demand charters and flight seeing. To our pilots we offer off-airport (beach) training, bear guide training, some housing assistance, and a competitive Daily Rate.

Job Summary:

Primary function will be to act as pilot in command of Cessna 206 on VFR 135 flights to various beaches then as wildlife guides in both Katmai and Lake Clark national parks. You will be required to be available from early May through September 15th including weekends and holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for part 135 On-Demand VFR flights
  • Comply with all Company procedures, FAA regulations, and best-practices.
  • Take responsibility for their aircraft to include keeping them clean and presentable for clients
  • Deliver exemplary service to guests and clients
  • Perform as bear viewing tour guide to guests in a variety of situations and weather conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Seasonal commitment from May through September
Required:

750 PIC with commercial / instrument rating 150 Alaska hours and 25 hrs. in Type. Candidate must be willing / able to relocate to Homer, Alaska during summer season housing assistance available. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. Candidate must be willing / able to work long summer Alaska days in all kinds of Alaska weather conditions.

Preferred:

high performance time - mountain / off-airport experience – previous guiding or similar outdoor experience a plus.
