• Prep Cooks handle chopping vegetables, herbs and other ingredients, trimming and slicing meats and stirring sauces and soups.
• They portion and wrap food, assemble plates (such as salads) and clean utensils and kitchen surfaces.
• Store foods in designated containers and storage areas. This role requires standing for long periods of time.
• Assist cooks in preparing food and dishes that need to be served as a kitchen helper.
• Wash dishes using a dishwasher to clean plates and glassware or clean pots and pans by hand.
• Maintain good physical condition to stand for long periods during shifts.

Pay Rate: $19.00 Per Hour

Average Hours per Week: 32 - 40

Housing Rate: $75 / Week / Person

Housing Details:
Host has 2 housing options. Both are shared apartments. 3953 Main St#8 in Homer is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit with living room, kitchen and furnished. 2-3 participants per bedroom, each with beds and no more than 6 students per bathroom. 566 W Fairview #1 Homer is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit with kitchen and living room, furnished.

2-3 participants can fit comfortably in this unit. Both locations have on-site laundry for about $2.00 per load. Units may be co-ed but bedrooms will be separated by gender.
