Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an acute care setting with night shifts and required Alaska licensure.
Responsibilities
• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital
• Patient ratios are 1:1 in labor & delivery and 2:1 in couplet care
• Average of 120 births per year
• Float to ICU or Med Surg units may be required, and Med Surg experience is necessary
• Charting is completed on Tru Bridge - Evident EMR system
• 12-hour night shifts
• Housing is provided at no charge if needed
• Position includes caring for laboring mothers and newborns as well as providing postpartum couplet care
• Working in a critical access hospital environment may involve cross-coverage to ICU or Med Surg
• Traveler must be willing to work night shifts as scheduled
Requirements
• Active Alaska RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• Med Surg experience required
• Experience with Tru Bridge - Evident EMR preferred
