Overview
The successful candidate will carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies. Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations. Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer s requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business.
Lots of sites consist of Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities.
The engineer must have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and have access to emails. Once a week the successful process of downloading results must be completed and sent to the PAT team at Head Office. Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office; however, the engineer must be able to manage their own time efficiently and successfully.
Maintain an acceptable time keeping track record, ensure that start & finish times are adhered to, as directed by the PAT Manager. Identify, prevent, or pre-empt any potential areas for customer dissatisfaction, for example, arriving late due to traffic. Good route preparation and forward planning is vital.

- Maintain an accurate timekeeping record and adhere to start/finish times as directed by the PAT Manager.
- Identify and address potential areas for customer dissatisfaction, with emphasis on good route planning and forward planning.
- All employees are required to comply with employment legislation and codes of good practice.
- In accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other supplementary legislation, employees must take reasonable care to avoid injury and cooperate with Norwood Electrical (UK) Ltd and others to meet statutory requirements.

- Organisational skills; hard-working, competent and reliable.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work in a team and independently.
- ICT literate (Microsoft Office).
- Have access to a Laptop/tablet/computer to download reports (weekly).
- Willing to work in different environments; comply with current uniform standards and ensure the company uniform is worn correctly.
- Must hold Full Manual UK Driving Licence.
- Must pass Full enhanced DBS check.
- To cover all of North Yorkshire, working within North Yorkshire Council buildings.
- Hours:
40 hrs per week, Monday - Friday; some weekend work may be required and occasional out-of-hours work. - Some time may be spent away from home from Monday to Friday.
