Due to significant major project wins and sustained organic growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join their team, supporting high-profile power and electrical projects across the South East.

The Role
As Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will provide specialist Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality leadership—delivering expert advice, training, and guidance at all levels while promoting continual improvement and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities
Expert Guidance:
Provide specialist SHEQ advice, ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations and company policies.
Site Safety:
Support project teams to maintain the highest health & safety standards across all operational sites.
Investigation & Analysis:
Lead accident/incident investigations, including RIDDOR reporting and robust root cause analysis.
Proactive Culture:
Champion a culture of proactive reporting, specifically focusing on near misses and close calls.
Compliance:
Ensure contractors, staff, and visitors strictly adhere to site safety requirements.
Training:
Deliver engaging safety presentations, training sessions, and toolbox talks to the wider workforce.

About You
Sector

Experience:

Proven track record as a SHEQ professional within Power and Civil Engineering.
Technical Knowledge:
Previous experience with projects involving DNOs, IDNOs, Substations, and Cabling.

Qualifications:

NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent safety qualification) is essential.

Certifications:

Must hold a valid EUSR or CSCS card.
Communication:
Strong communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Skills:

Highly skilled in technical report writing and the implementation of management systems.
Requirement:
Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Desirable:

Experience with NERS accreditation
