Job Overview
GHR Healthcare is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Psychiatric for a 13‑week contract in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Estimated weekly salary: $1,010–$1,060 (subject to confirmation).
LocationHolyoke, Massachusetts (ZIP 01040) – Pioneer Valley, MA. Excellent access to Springfield and Western Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred (inpatient psych experience a plus)
- Strong de‑escalation, crisis intervention, and behavioral management skills
- Ability to float between patient floors and adapt to varying patient acuity
- Must pass background check
- Team‑oriented, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced inpatient behavioral health environment
- Provide compassionate, evidence‑based psychiatric nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients with behavioral health needs
- Assess, monitor, and document psychiatric symptoms and safety risks using Cerner EHR
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor effectiveness and side effects
- Perform routine assessments using equipment such as EKG, vitals machine, and glucometer
- Utilize de‑escalation techniques and crisis management strategies to maintain a safe therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including BHT Manager, RN Supervisor, and Chief Nursing Officer
- Support unit operations by floating between units as required to meet patient care needs
