Description:
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will:
Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
Communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers as appropriate.
Participate in the discharge planning process.
Common diagnoses treated include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety.
The unit has 104 beds across adult, child, and geriatric populations with patient ratios of 1:8, varying by unit.
Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric populations.
Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program is required.
Candidates should possess BCLS certification, with ACLS preferred.
