Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and clinical coordination within our behavioral health units, delivering quality, compassionate care for child (ages 5-17), adult, geriatric and forensic patients. You'll work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Chief Nursing Officer

Education & Licensure Requirements:

Education:

* Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN) Required, BSN Preferred.

Licensure:

* Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Massachusetts (or compact state as applicable) Required.

Certifications:

* BLS (CPR) - Required upon hire.

* CPI or Handle With Care - Preferred.

* ACLS - Preferred.

* CRRN - Preferred.

Required

Skills & Experience:

* Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Required.

* 6+ months Med/Surg experience - Preferred.

* Behavioral Health or Psychiatric experience - Preferred.

* Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills.

* Calm, compassionate, and focused under pressure.

* Team-oriented with a passion for patient-centered care.

* Understanding of Trauma
-informed care (Preferred).

Essential Job Functions

* Nurses at Valley Springs are active participants and key collaborators on the patient team in a patient's behavioral health journey.

* Provide direct nursing care according to established standards and procedures.

* Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and document progress.

* Administer medications and treatments safely.
