PositionSummary
This role involves providing clinically competent, coordinated care that respects each client’s dignity, autonomy, and independent decision-making. It includes completing timely and accurate documentation, incorporating comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments that address biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs to support holistic and individualized client care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide client care in a manner that respects the client’s dignity, autonomy, and independent decision-making.
- Initiate and/or complete required documentation in a timely, systematic, and accurate manner, including age-related assessment of biophysical, psycho-social, environmental, self-care, age-specific, and educational factors.
- Participate actively in the quality improvement process and incorporate quality improvement findings into proactive clinical care and coordination of client care within the department.
- Be involved in administrative meetings as a representative of the medical staff.
- Develop, initiate, or assist in developing treatment plans for each assigned client within appropriate time frames, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide direct clinical services to children and adolescents, demonstrating competence in developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment planning, and intervention, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members.
Required:
- Education Level — Master of Science in Nursing
- Experience — Five or more years’ experience as a clinical nurse specialist; experience working with chronically mentally ill populations required
- Licensing — Current DEA Controlled Substance Registration; current Controlled Substance Registration within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Certification — Current certification as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Certification
- Skills/Abilities — Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; crisis intervention skills; organizational skills; attention to detail; computer skills; good customer relations skills; knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession
Preferred:
- Experience or desire to work with pediatric patients
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) ability a plus
Salary Range: $90-$100 per hour. Salary ranges are based on years of experience, level of education, specialty and licensure/certifications.
