Locum Tenens Urologist Needed for Short-Term Inpatient Call near Holyoke, MA (j-227607) Are you a motivated and experienced Urologist seeking a short-term locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting? We're seeking a qualified physician to join our team and provide high-quality urologic care during a period of increased patient volume in a growing community near Holyoke, MA.

What You'll Do:
Provide on-call coverage for a variety of urologic emergencies presenting at our well-equipped hospital. Assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED) or requiring inpatient urologic care, regardless of their prior attending physician. Develop and implement effective treatment plans for urgent urologic conditions, prioritizing patient safety and positive outcomes. Collaborate effectively with emergency room physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.

Integrate seamlessly with the Cerner electronic medical record system. Participate in rounding and patient care discussions, contributing your expertise to ensure comprehensive care. Benefits:

We offer flexible scheduling for orientation, either in-person or virtually, on the 27th or early morning of the 28th.

Temporary privileges may be available to expedite credentialing (minimum credentialing time of 30 days).

Qualifications:

Active medical license in the state of Massachusetts (MA only). Board-certified in Urology (fellowship preferred). Current ACLS and BLS certifications. Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Urology with a focus on urgent and emergent conditions. Experience managing urologic emergencies in a fast-paced hospital setting is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make critical decisions in time-sensitive situations.

ASAP - Ongoing (short-term need). Coverage includes major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a specific focus on call coverage during the mentioned dates.
