Responsibilities- Accurately process applicable payroll processes in compliance with country and location specific laws and meeting company deadlines
- Reconcile and analyze payments for payroll tax with holdings, retirement plan contributions, garnishments, and all other with holdings ensuring that statutory due dates are met
- Prepare payroll journal entries and provide support to Accounting on payroll account reconciliations
- Audit HRIS interface data from HR status updates for increases, new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, benefit changes, address changes, and title and department changes
- Maintain accurate and timely employee payroll data including attendance and vacation records
- Process all non-cash compensation transactions including stock options, employee awards, relocations and other programs
- Register and maintain tax agency accounts
- Prepare and process year end wage tax information
- Execute and maintain all court-ordered with holdings
- Create ad hoc reports upon request
- Document and update all payroll procedures as needed
- Maintain proper payroll records to support internal and external audits
- Keep current on all payroll-related laws, policies and regulations through on-line and written resources, and attending payroll seminars as needed
- Provide support participate in all payroll system upgrades and integration projects as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll records
- Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff. May back up those who perform specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, bonus payments, imputed income recording, government agency document filing, or sales commission payments

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience
- Solid knowledge of statutory payroll laws and payroll accounting practices to handle moderately difficult assignments
- Ability to work independently to meet all payroll and accounting deadlines
- Fluent level of English (written and verbal) as well as local language as applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly organized, detail minded, and able to analyze complex payroll transactions
- Bachelor Degree - Accounting , finance
- Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written with a customer service approach
- Ability to work within a team environment and possess skills to support process change
- Ability to operate as escalation point for junior team members
- Competency in spreadsheet and word processing applications
