Southeastern Equipment is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team and play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You'll be the go-to person for customers bringing in their equipment for service. From greeting them with a smile to ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally, you'll be right in the middle of the action, coordinating between customers, technicians, and parts.

• Welcome and assist customers in the service department
• Listen carefully and document equipment concerns accurately
• Explain service options, pricing, and timelines clearly and confidently
• Schedule service appointments and assign tasks to technicians
• Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely repairs
• Maintain detailed service records, invoices, estimates, and work orders
• Monitor shop supply inventory and reorder as needed
• Assist the Operations Manager with additional service tasks and projects
• Keep communication flowing smoothly between all involved parties

• Closing service jobs in 5 days or less
• Helping techs achieve $19K+ in billed work per month
• Hitting department income goals and 5S standards
• Maximizing billed versus overtime hours

• High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
• Experience in a service or equipment-related role is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with inventory and computer systems
• Willingness to become forklift certified
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in a shop environment
• Valid driver's license
