Senior Manager Financial Planning Analysis

Overview

Soni Resources is partnering with ever-growing client near Holmdel, NJ, in the search for a Senior Manager, FP&A.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expense leadership capabilities and a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior and executive leadership to support business objectives.

• Expense Strategy & Financial Stewardship: Lead and evolve the FP&A expense function, delivering consistent, accurate, and timely financial reporting for senior leadership and external stakeholders, including monthly management reporting and quarterly board materials.
• Executive Partnership & Alignment: Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive leaders, ensuring financial insights are tightly aligned with operational goals, business strategy, and overall performance.
• Forecasting & Cost Outlook Management: Own the monthly expense forecasting and reforecasting process, leveraging driver-based analysis to explain variances, assess risk, and identify opportunities.
• Operating Plan & Long-Range Strategy: Contribute to the design and execution of the annual operating plan and multi-year financial roadmap, supporting strategic growth initiatives.
• Insight Generation & Decision Support: Partner with business leaders to translate operational data into financial insights that inform decisions, improve efficiency, and drive performance.
• Advanced Modeling & Scenario Evaluation: Lead the development of sophisticated financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses in Adaptive Planning and Excel to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Performance Measurement & Reporting: Establish, track, and communicate key financial and operational performance indicators, highlighting progress against targets and opportunities for improvement.
• Process Optimization & Systems Enhancement: Drive initiatives to strengthen reporting tools, analytics, and financial processes, improving data quality and enabling faster, more effective decision-making.
• People Leadership & Talent Development: Manage and mentor FP&A team members, promoting accountability, professional development, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Financial Governance & Reporting Standards: Define and maintain financial reporting standards, controls, and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the organization.

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including people management, within complex and growing organizations; exposure to scaled technology or SaaS environments preferred.
• Systems & Tools: Strong proficiency with financial planning systems (Adaptive Planning preferred) and familiarity with enterprise tools such as Workday, Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, and Net Suite.
• Analytical & Business Acumen: Advanced financial modeling skills, strong understanding of GAAP and core financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders; familiarity with SaaS metrics is a plus.

Compensation: $140,000 - $165,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
