Salary/Hourly Rate $50k – $60k annually. On average, employees earn approximately $10k in commission during their first year, with the potential to reach $30k by their second year.

Position Overview The Recruiter, Finance & Accounting will manage a “full desk,” including recruiting, account management, and new business prospecting. The Direct Hire Finance & Accounting division is a growing team with unlimited potential and a strong client base. The recruiter will grow a target list of new sales prospects, interview industry professionals, match professionals to open roles, achieve sales quotas, and service existing accounts.

The individual is expected to leverage an existing contact database, network, and prospect for new opportunities while applying superior sales skills to win competitive opportunities. The ideal candidate is dynamic, driven, self‑motivated, and goal‑oriented. The recruiter will also be skilled at overcoming objections and resilient in the face of challenges.

Responsibilities Of The Recruiter, Finance and Accounting

  • Responsible for full‑cycle recruiting for Direct Hire positions, including sourcing, screening, conducting in‑person behavioural‑based interviews, and completing reference checks.
  • Follow up on sales leads and work to bring in new clients while managing existing accounts.
  • Source both active talent by managing job postings, utilizing job boards, attending networking events, maintaining social media platforms, and cultivating a strong referral base.
  • Play “matchmaker” to pair candidates with clients’ open positions.
  • Negotiate salary rates with candidates.
  • Prepare candidates thoroughly for job interviews and debrief post‑interview.
  • Keep candidate records up to date with accurate notes and candidate summaries.
  • Identify and market new business through leads, cross‑selling opportunities, targeted marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Speak with clients to take detailed and thorough job orders.
  • Develop client relationships by conducting onsite client visits, lunches/dinners, and/or other approved client activities.
  • Stay up to date on all industry trends and developments.
  • Other projects or tasks as directed by your manager.

Required Experience/Skills for the Recruiter, Finance and Accounting

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B staffing, recruiting, or sales experience.
  • Proven history of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience developing sales strategies in addition to service‑level and pricing proposals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast‑paced, highly competitive, deadline‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with multiple levels within an organization and cross‑functional departments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of solutions‑oriented sales and closing techniques.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience required.
