We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our team in Pembroke Pines. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our fleet of waste management vehicles while leading a team of technicians. - Stay current on the latest technologies and equipment used by Waste Pro to ensure effective maintenance and repair processes.
- Undertake any additional job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Normal setting for this job includes both inside and outside work, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to perform road calls and test drives; valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid CDL license; preferred.
- Mechanical or trade school certification required; ASE Master Mechanic Certification preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of tools and equipment required to perform vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills required.

- Exposure to chemical and residential waste.
- Frequent walking, jogging, twisting, crouching, and lifting.
- Sufficient stamina to maintain a steady work pace throughout the day.
- Ability to properly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Physically able to enter and exit the cab of a commercial motor vehicle 50-100 times per day.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs from floor to waist height unassisted.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to shoulder height unassisted.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to overhead unassisted.
- Ability to push and pull 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to frequently (100-200 times per day) bend at the knees and waist.
- Ability to frequently (100-200 times per day) reach overhead or extend arms to perform work.
- Ability to frequently (100-200 times per day) twist at the waist.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions, including during road calls.
