KITCHEN MANAGERS MAY BE ASKED TO WORK UP TO 30 MILES FROM THE RESTAURANT LOCATION YOU ARE CURRENTLY APPLYING TO
You're Captain of the Kitchen - leading the BOH team through the twists and turns of kitchen operations (ordering & receiving, prep, service, cleaning, closing, and everything in between). We’re seeking passionate cooks comfortable both pitching in and delegating tasks.
- Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
- Read and write notes in English in the manager’s daily log
- Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
- Read the weekly memo
- Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations
- Communicate with all M.O.D. when shift is completed
- Provide honest reports of all events, positive and negative
- Follow all policies, rules, and directions from manuals, memos, and meetings
- Enforce proper measurements, recipe adherence, cleanliness, check time ceilings, and quality control
- Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
- Hold current food management certification
- Demonstrate ownership mentality
- Be flexible with scheduling;
Flanigan’s is open 365 days/year - Willing to transfer geographically as needed
- Work 5 days/week, 50-55 hours
- Have 2 days off between Monday-Thursday
- Schedule vacations between April and November; must be used or forfeited
- Order and formulate pars
- Understand and comply with Florida State health code standards
- Follow Flanigan’s hiring policies and conduct timely interviews
- Issue written evaluations for performance
- Must see, speak clearly, listen, taste, and smell
- Read and write English proficiently
- Stand and move about for up to 4 hours, work 50-55 hours/week
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bend, stoop, squat, or crawl as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment with coordination
- Adhere to dress and grooming policies
- Proficient at all kitchen stations including expo
