Service Porter

Position: SERVICE PORTER
Job Summary:

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the premises. This role involves a variety of tasks such as cleaning, minor maintenance, and ensuring that the facility is presentable and welcoming to visitors and staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

Facilities Management:

• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Ensure that all areas are kept tidy and organized.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist visitors and staff with inquiries or directions.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Park vehicles keep service drive clean and clear

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored safely.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Additional Duties:

• Assist with receiving and distributing deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role was preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 30 lbs.).
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
