OverviewAbout the Role
Andrew Kiger Golf is seeking two part-time Assistant Golf Instructors to join our coaching team at Mac Gregor Downs Country Club and The Club at 12 Oaks. These positions support our year-round Operation 36® player development programs
, serving juniors and adults through structured classes, on-course coaching, and group instruction.
You will work closely with Andrew Kiger, PGA
, along with lead coaches Matthew Palmer, PGA and Bo Bolick, PGA
—both Top 50 Operation 36 Coaches—within a proven, nationally recognized development model.
This role is ideal for instructors who enjoy working with players of all ages, value structure and collaboration, and are eager to grow within a high-level coaching environment.

. Our academy delivers long-term player development at premier private clubs in the Triangle, utilizing the Operation 36® model to build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
- Assist with weekly Operation 36 classes for juniors and adults
- Support coaching during 9-hole on-course events, group clinics, and programs
- Set up and break down training stations, practice areas, and on-course activities
- Provide encouragement, feedback, and guidance to players of varying skill levels
- Maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment
- Collaborate with lead coaches and follow structured session plans and coaching standards
- Prior experience in golf instruction, youth sports, or group coaching preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with players of varying ages and abilities
- Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude
- Reliable and professional in a coaching environment
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- 15–20 hours per week
- Weekday afternoons/evenings plus occasional weekend 9-hole events
- $20–25 per hour
, based on experience - Additional private lesson income potential (approximately 45–55% commission
