In this role, you will:- Care for admitted patients "boarding" in the Emergency Department, ensuring safe and efficient care as they transition to inpatient units.

- Collaborate closely with ED and inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and continuity of care.

Summary:Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:- Education – Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self; attend education programs; use patient education materials; assess readiness to learn of patient/family/caregivers; assess developmental level of patient and factors affecting ability to learn.
- Evaluation of Care – Identify expected patient outcomes; seek guidance as needed in revision of plan of care; participate in discussion with interdisciplinary team; communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Implementation – Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems; perform bedside point‑of‑care testing; utilize organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures; organize and prioritize care; consult with resources timely regarding complex care issues.
- Leadership – Develop goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations; achieve goals within time frame or renegotiate with supervisor; know intra/interdepartmental collaboration activities; participate in unit goals and performance improvement; use communication systems; promote cost‑effective care; provide feedback to co‑workers; keep aware of public policy and regulatory guidelines; promote a safe, clean and secure environment.
- Patient Assessment – Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities; include appropriate physical, psychosocial, education and safety needs; synthesize assessment data; anticipate discharge needs; develop relationships that promote advocacy.
