Maintenance Technician – Swing Shift (3:00pm - 1:30am)

- During years 1 and 2, partner with the Capital Project Delivery and Site Operations team to provide technical support for the startup, commissioning, and qualification of equipment and systems in manufacturing, laboratories, utilities, and other areas.
- Support the development, writing, and implementation of the Maintenance program documentation, including SOPs, work orders, job plans, hazard risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
- Ensure the safety of all staff during plant construction, startup operations, and maintenance activities.
- Perform intermediate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing, and documentation of process and utility equipment.
- Complete quality and safety documentation and finish work safely, compliantly, and on schedule with minimal impact to production, aligning with GMP standards, SOP adherence, and Amgen policies.
- Work productively and efficiently to maximize successful outcomes with a focus on maintenance excellence.
- Communicate work to system operators and key stakeholders.
- Accurately complete work order documentation.
- Identify opportunities to learn new skills, actively participate in development, and improve overall team performance.
- Review and approve maintenance reports, forms, plans, and records.
- Identify waste, workflow interrupters, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation.
- Represent the Maintenance team as a leader or delegate in discussions and meetings with peers and other site functions.
- Provide facility and manufacturing support as needed with on-call rotation—including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Basic Qualifications- High school diploma/GED and 4 years of Maintenance experience, or
- 2 years in a technical school setting with hands‑on operations or manufacturing experience, or
- Associate degree and 2 years of operations or manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge and experience working in a highly regulated cGMP environment.
- Experience executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Ability to interpret P&’s.
- Effective communication of issues and task status in a timely manner.
- Constructive interaction with peers and teams.
- Use of science‑based collaboration to drive continuous improvements.
- Understanding and application of World Class Maintenance initiatives.
- Leadership in safety, quality, and compliance.
