Construction Manager

Axis Energy is looking for an experienced, operationally focused and safety minded Construction Manager to join their professional and dynamic team. As a Construction Manager at Axis Energy, you would be responsible for ensuring the quality, schedule, and overall implementation of assigned projects.

This position will require you to demonstrate a wide range of knowledge and experience with electrical, solar specific, and general construction field management.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBLITIES

* Manages the profitable execution of assigned projects. Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of the contract. Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow for assigned projects.

* Understands project scope and customer expectations. Utilizes resource planning techniques to gain high productivity from team members.

* Plans, schedules,and controls project activities. Broad knowledge of commercial and contractual complexity; deal structure; financial acumen; disciplines of supply chain; negotiation skills; communication skills; and strong c-level relationships.

* Provides Weekly reporting of project status, labor requirements and material requirements.

* Provides monthly reporting of Project financial status and participates in the Monthly Project reviews, as needed.

* Establish long term customer and contractor relationships.

* Develops and adheres to a Project Execution Plan for each assigned project.

* Establishes customer touch points throughout the life cycle of projects to gain feedback on customer satisfaction. Provides leadership by demonstrating focus on exceeding customers' expectations.

* Effectively communicates the status of assigned projects to Project Manager as required and provides monthly forecasts of revenue, costs.

* Fosters and maintains good working relationships with subcontractors.

* Fosters and maintains good working relationships with partners.

* Ensures compliance with state, local and federal legal requirements.

* Ensure business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.

* Champions and drives the Axis Energy Safety Program for employees and subcontractors at all levels.

* Perform additional assignments as directed by the Operations Manager.

Desired

Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, OR equivalent combination of industry experience, education, and training.

* 5+ years in Solar Construction.

* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Project

* Reads and understands blueprints

* Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

* Self-motivated

* Honest, reliable, self-aware and conscientious

The Construction Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager. This is a full-time position with travel located within the Southeastern US.
