Overview

Andrew Kiger Golf is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Sports Coach to lead and support our Birdie Basics program

This is a part-time, on-site position based at Mac Gregor Downs Country Club and The Club at 12 Oaks.

Golf experience is not required. Experience working with young children is essential
.

Birdie Basics is inspired by the early childhood development framework developed by Kate Tempesta
, emphasizing play-based learning, movement, and positive coaching behaviors. Coaches are supported with a clear curriculum, class structure, and training from the Andrew Kiger Golf team.

Birdie Basics is a play-based early childhood program that introduces children to movement and golf fundamentals in an age-appropriate way. Classes focus on:

  • Games and imaginative play
  • Simple routines and station-based activities
  • Listening skills, confidence, and social interaction
  • Positive reinforcement in a safe and encouraging environment

The goal is to create a fun first experience that builds confidence and a love for movement and sport,
not technical golf instruction
.
