We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Financial Controller to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This position will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our company, with a focus on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and driving financial strategy to support business growth. The successful candidate must have a strong background in GAAP, Job Cost Accounting, WIP, and Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining an accurate record of the company's financial status.
  • Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems to optimize financial efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing detailed financial reports and statements to senior management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Manage job cost accounting and work in progress (WIP) to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision‑making issues affecting the organization.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long‑range planning and introduction of new programs/strategies.
  • Develop credibility for the finance department by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Construction or relative industry
  • Proven experience with GAAP, Job Cost Accounting, WIP, and Finance.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • High proficiency in financial software and databases.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of professional integrity and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
