Various hours – School days as early as 6 a.m. and no later than 2 p.m.
School Year/Part Time
Qualifications:
- Some experience working in food service environment preferred
- Experience working with children preferred
- Serv Safe certified preferred
- Assist in the preparation and service of school meals
- Assist with daily cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria and food service equipment
- Monitor children in the cafeteria to ensure safety and order
- Other duties as assigned
- Will generally know several days in advance when and where work is assigned. On occasion, may be called the same day.
- Must be flexible with scheduling
- Physically demanding work
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and or pull 20-50 pounds
- Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 20-50 pounds. - Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. - Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. - Repetitive motions:
Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. - The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
- The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
