Freedom Village is recruiting a hospitality‑focused Cook to join our Community Culinary Services Department. This full‑scope, hands‑on production cooking position maintains a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

Starting rate: $17.50 – 20.00 per hour based on experience.

Part‑time; weekend availability.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization.
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs that comply with required nutritional/dietary criteria and local regulations, and correctly prepare diets per Policy and Procedure.
  • Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
  • Assist with serving meals and washing dishes when necessary.
  • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance, and conduct evaluations to recommend operational improvements.
  • Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment.
  • Support creating a culture where business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top‑line revenue and occupancy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking experience.
