Starting wage is $12.48/hr plus Tip Pool.

As a Server Assistant you will welcome guests, coordinate the flow throughout the restaurant, and ensure guests are 100% satisfied while following Suburban Inns’ Core Values, local health department rules, and Suburban Inns/Big E’s standards.

• Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel welcome and valued.
• Welcome each guest as they enter, and thank them as they leave, holding the door as often as possible.
• Seat guests at suitable tables according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of tables.
• Assist with table service, including:
  • Filling empty beverages
  • Clearing dishes from tables
  • Fetching and delivering items from tables
• Pre‑bus, clear tables, and wipe them down.
• Wipe down menus.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and run to‑go orders.
• Check that restrooms are presentable, stocked, and clean as needed.
• Ensure that the Server Assistant stand is always stocked (crayons, kid menus, menus, etc.).
• Maintain regular and recurrent attendance records.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

• Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret/extract information, perform arithmetic functions, and good communication skills.

• Required Travel: Position does not require travel to other Suburban Inns properties or client locations; work is completed on the property.
• Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:

  Uniform:
  Shirt and nametag provided. Team Members are responsible for their own pants and shoes that meet Suburban Inns specifications. Pants must be black slacks or dark‑wash jeans without holes; shoes must be black, close‑toed, and non‑slip. Hair must be kept well‑groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos that are not covered by a uniform must be approved by management. Tattoos deemed offensive to co‑workers, guests, or vendors are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times.
