An automotive client of Insight Global in the West Michigan area is seeking a Quality Manager. This individual will be responsible to oversee IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related certifications while driving quality performance across our manufacturing operations. This role leads Quality Systems, Supplier Quality, Advanced Quality Planning, testing labs, and customer‑facing quality functions. You will guide a high‑performing team, partner closely with customers and suppliers, and champion continuous improvement, safety, and compliance.

- Lead and develop the Quality Systems team; ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Own compliance and continuous improvement for IATF 16949, ISO 9001, CCC, VDA 6.3, and ISO 17025 requirements.
- Oversee APQP, supplier quality assurance, lab operations, customer complaints, and product submissions.
- Establish and execute quality strategies that support business objectives.
- Monitor key metrics and implement actions to improve process capability and product quality.
- Manage departmental budgets, productivity, resource allocation, and staffing levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Lead resolution of quality issues and customer‑specific requirements.where disallowed put calls
- Promote and enforce all Safety, Environmental, and OSHA policies.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and ensure corrective actions.
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting, including EHS coordination.
- Support compliance with ISO 14001 environmental programs.
- Train and develop team members, ensuring competency in safety, quality, and standardized work.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, recognition, and corrective action as needed.
- Lead daily shift meetings and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, quality, or a related field.
- 8 years of quality and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing budgets, leading teams, and making strategic decisions.
