Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is a rapidly growing group of emergency veterinary hospitals with five (so onto Besix!) locations across the Midwest. Our mission is simple: expand into and support the communities that need us most, especially where pet owners don’t currently have access to 24/7 emergency care.

EVCC is a veterinarian‑led company that truly values the insight and leadership of our DVMs. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians—most of whom remain actively involved today—we’re proud of the collaborative, team‑first environment that defines every EVCC location.

Emergency Veterinarian Medical Director

Our Highland location needs skilled, friendly, and energetic newly graduated Emergency Veterinarians who strive for and achieve excellence in emergency veterinary medicine in the area.

Your mentorship experience at EVCC is personalized to your learning style, pace, and professional goals. We work closely with you to determine the appropriate timeline and workflow for your development.

* All schedules and timelines remain flexible and will be continually adjusted based on your individual needs. Progression decisions are made collaboratively between you and your mentor.

• Graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program
• Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one
• Excellent problem‑solving and ability to think “quickly on your feet”
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate “bedside” manner, building trust and strong relationships with clients—both human and furry alike

• Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000, We’re committed to finding the right fit and open to negotiation
