Position Summary

Join our dedicated Resthaven nursing team and play a vital role in supporting long-term care, dementia, and short-stay sub-acute residents with chronic healthcare needs. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care while upholding the highest clinical standards and promoting dignity, comfort, and person-centered care for every resident.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver direct nursing care and implement individualized resident care plans
  • Administer medications and manage pain safely, accurately, and on time
  • Monitor resident conditions, including skin integrity and wound care
  • Observe, assess, document, and report changes in resident status
  • Carry out physician orders promptly and accurately
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and State/Federal regulations
  • Provide calm, critical thinking during urgent or emergent situations
  • Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Lead, assign, and support clinical staff while promoting teamwork and growth
  • Assist with staffing coverage and unit support as needed
  • Deliver thorough shift reports to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide exceptional customer service by exceeding resident and family expectations
  • Float between units as operational needs require

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Current Michigan RN license in good standing
  • Successful completion of State Board examinations
  • Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred
  • Commitment to ongoing education, training, and professional growth
Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands-on. You must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely
  • li>Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
