Openings:
Day shift, 2nd shift Night Shift
Join our dedicated Resthaven nursing team and play a vital role in supporting long-term care, dementia, and short-stay sub-acute residents with chronic healthcare needs. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on nursing care while upholding the highest clinical standards and promoting dignity, comfort, and person-centered care for every resident.
What You’ll Do- Deliver direct nursing care and implement individualized resident care plans
- Administer medications and manage pain safely, accurately, and on time
- Monitor resident conditions, including skin integrity and wound care
- Observe, assess, document, and report changes in resident status
- Carry out physician orders promptly and accurately
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and State/Federal regulations
- Provide calm, critical thinking during urgent or emergent situations
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead, assign, and support clinical staff while promoting teamwork and growth
- Assist with staffing coverage and unit support as needed
- Deliver thorough shift reports to ensure continuity of care
- Provide exceptional customer service by exceeding resident and family expectations
- Float between units as operational needs require

- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and ethical in all aspects of care
- Thrive working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and competence
- Comfortable using electronic documentation and computer systems
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Michigan RN license in good standing
- Successful completion of State Board examinations
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred
- Commitment to ongoing education, training, and professional growth
This role is active and hands-on. You must be able to:
- Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely li>Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care
