About the roleYou will report to the Plasma Center Manager and act as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations.
How you will contribute- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in the SOPs and handle medical emergencies following applicable SOPs, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility.
- Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $31.92 – $43.89
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and the location in which the applicant resides or will perform the job. Wages will adhere to state or local minimum wage requirements.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
