Key Responsibilities- Perform welding using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on diverse materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering specifications to determine welding processes.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Inspect welded components for quality, defects, and adherence to specified standards and tolerances.
- Grind, cut, and prepare metal surfaces for welding, ensuring accurate fit‑up and clean joints.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to design requirements.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Proficiency in common welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing welding environments.
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent.
- Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and identify potential defects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, and fitting of components.
- AWS D1.1 or other specialized welding certifications (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum).
- Experience with advanced welding processes (e.g., TIG on thin gauge) or automated welding systems.
- Familiarity with visual inspection techniques and quality control standards.
