Shipping​/Receiving Specialist

The Shipping & Receiving position is responsible for all shipping and receiving processes both internal and external. This position also includes but is not limited to inventory transactions, cycle counts, parts pulling, skidding and packaging, part inspection, and other responsibilities as assigned.

• Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
• Receives and inspects purchased/manufactured parts.
• Use a computer to ship/receive parts into our inventory system.
• Ensures inventory accuracy, monitors inventory locations, and acts upon observations.
• Communicate with peers about shipping and receiving information that is important to current jobs.
• Maintains minimum stock quantities of shipping supplies.
• Other duties as assigned/necessary. We have a flexible environment where we enjoy working together as a team to do a variety of tasks throughout the facility to fulfill customer jobs.
• Shipment packaging, scheduling, and processing for both national and international shipments

• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills to resolve complex issues for long-term improvement.
• Comfortable and able to work in an industrial environment.
• Good administrative skills including attention to detail, comparing numbers, and tracking quantities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to use a computer multiple hours per day.
• Experience with UPS, Fed Ex, and LTL carriers.
• Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.

• Ethical conduct.
• Time management skills and efficiency while maintaining accuracy are key.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.

• Able to stand and work for extended periods of time.
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
• Able to move around in a factory environment sometimes in tight spaces in and around equipment.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds periodically.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
