Machine Design Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Machine Design Engineer responsible for designing and enhancing machinery using Solid Works software. Also have similar openings in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.

• Create, design, and layout custom automation equipment based on engineering principles and expertise.
• Conceptualize machine designs and select appropriate materials.
• Develop detailed models and drawings using Solid Works software.
• Size mechanical components such as pumps, gears, pulleys, sheet metal, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping.
• Provide support for machine assembly and troubleshooting.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Previous experience as a Machine Designer, ideally in material handling, assembly, or automation sectors.
• Proficiency in Solid Works; familiarity with Inventor, CREO, Pro-E, AutoCAD, or other 3D design software beneficial.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servos advantageous.
• Strong technical aptitude, team-oriented mindset, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Project Engineering or structural design experience a plus.
