Job OverviewA client of Insight Global is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join a growing pre‑fabricated open‑air shelter manufacturer based in Holland, Michigan. This role focuses on the design and engineering of steel structures for the Poligon and CEAS+ product lines, supporting projects from early concept through fabrication.
In this position, you will be responsible for engineering and pricing custom structural solutions, developing detailed structural calculations, and ensuring all designs meet applicable U.S. building codes. You’ll work extensively with RISA‑3D and CADD tools to create and review submittal drawings and fabrication prints, collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver accurate, build‑ready designs.
Required Skills and Experience- 4–6 years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability and commitment to obtain licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
- Working knowledge of major U.S. building codes and standards
- Proficiency with RISA‑3D, AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable design software
- Experience with structural analysis software preferred
