Controls Engineer

Overview

We are currently seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer for a dynamic Machine Builder based in the Holland, MI area. This is a direct hire position with minimal overnight travel required. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Allen Bradley PLC Programming and some exposure to Siemens systems. Robot programming experience is desired. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, though candidates with varying levels of PLC experience will be considered.

• Integrate and program electrical systems for advanced automation machinery.
• Utilize SCADA for efficient data communication across different machines.
• Design and program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to resolve issues.
• Retrofit existing systems and integrate new control technologies.
• Incorporate robotics and vision systems into automation solutions.
• Commission new machinery and conduct occasional service work.

• Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs, including Micro Logix and RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk, HMI, AutoCAD, and SCADA.
• Experience with Data Control Systems;
  Siemens experience is advantageous.
• A BSEE Degree is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Robotics experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for hands-on tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
