Automation Design Engineer
Pick & Place, Conveyor Design, Bowl Feeder
Responsibilities- Design, install, and integrate automation solutions for plant machinery and equipment
- Lead equipment modifications and enhancements to improve performance and compatibility
- Develop business case documentation to support automation initiatives
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines
- Implement process improvements focused on safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity
- Apply structured problem-solving tools such as A3, KT, and DMAIC (Six Sigma)
- Collaborate with plant operations to monitor project progress and identify future opportunities
- Analyze trends and present reports to support data-driven decision-making
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel, and Minitab
- Experience with robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
