Middle Grades
We are seeking a 5th grade classroom teacher for the school year.
About the PositionOur ideal be highly qualified, hold a current Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement in elementary education, and be comfortable integrating technology into instruction while building a culturally responsive learning environment grounded in the Catholic faith. The candidate should collaborate with staff to carry out the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School, integrating Catholic doctrines into the curriculum.
Qualifications- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary certification
- Proficient with technology usage and integration in the classroom
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Practicing Catholic, certified or willing to complete catechetical certification
- Develop lesson plans that provide individualized and small group instruction
- Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
- Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth and keep appropriate records
- Identify student needs
- Available to students and parents for educational-related purposes outside the instructional day
- Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) preferred
- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred
- Bachelor degree preferred
