Title:
Facility Administrator
Reports to:
Lead Pastor and Executive Consistory, Maplewood Reformed Church (maplewoodrca.org)
Hours:
Part-time, averaging 10–15 hours per week, including weekends and occasional evenings
Compensation: $20 per hour
Position Summary:
The Facility Administrator will provide a welcoming, well‑maintained space for church members, guests, and community organizations. This role coordinates all activities held at the church, those hosted by Maplewood Reformed Church and organized by other groups, and ensures the facility is properly prepared, maintained, and secured before and after use.
- Manage a shared event calendar accessible to church leadership and appropriate organizations leasing space.
- Respond promptly to phone calls, text messages, and e‑mails from individuals or groups requesting use of the facility.
- Meet with prospective users to assess needs and determine space requirements.
- Clearly communicate facility policies, expectations, and procedures.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by:
Coordinating cleaning with janitorial staff or volunteers;
Overseeing room setup and breakdown;
Unlocking and securing the building as needed;
Addressing maintenance concerns in a timely manner. - Coordinate post‑event cleanup and building lock‑up.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of the building and grounds to identify needed repairs, improvements, or safety concerns.
- Meet regularly with church leadership and relevant lessees to discuss maintenance, repairs, and enhancements.
- Oversee routine cleaning and upkeep of the facility and grounds, including occasional coordination with contractors, janitorial staff, and volunteers.
- Communicate all scheduled facility events to appropriate stakeholders.
- Submit a monthly report summarizing completed work and notable updates.
- Build relationships with local ministries and organizations that may be a good fit for facility use, whether occasionally or through longer‑term agreements.
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, reflected in a life of obedience to God’s will as described in Scripture.
- A servant leader who is self‑motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
- High integrity and the ability to work well with others.
- Excellent communication skills; proactive, responsive, and detail‑oriented.
- Demonstrated pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces, along with a positive attitude toward church staff, congregation members, and facility users.
- A strong sense of ownership regarding the care and condition of the facility.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on the building’s schedule.
- Alignment with and support of the vision of Maplewood Reformed Church.
