2nd Shift Custodian

12-month hourly employee

Days of Work:
Monday to Friday

Times of Shift: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

• Responsible for cleaning areas assigned by the Night Foreman.
• Replaces fluorescent and incandescent lamps in assigned areas.
• Maintains security in housekeeping areas.
• Responsible for building set-ups for rentals, school activities, and continuing education.
• Assists with snow removal operations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset records to include additional, replacement and disposed of fixed asset inventory.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Night Foreman and/or Building and Grounds Manager & the Director of Purchasing & Facilities.

• Be familiar with all types of equipment used in maintenance of tile floors and carpet.
• Possess safety habits, skills and insight while performing custodial work.
• Knowledgeable in all areas of housekeeping.
• Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned tasks.

Is under the supervision of the Foreman, Building and Grounds Manager, and Director of Purchasing and Facilities.

Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group
