Tax Director

Syntax Talent Solutions is growing and in search of a Tax Director to join our team near Hoffman Estates, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions. This role requires a deep understanding of private client services federal, state, and local tax regulations and the ability to manage complex tax issues for high net worth individuals.

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Oversee the preparation and review of all tax returns and related documentation.
• Manage tax audits and resolve any tax-related disputes.
• Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, legal, and external auditors.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
• Lead and develop a high-performing tax team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax, with a focus on corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in a public accounting firm or a multinational corporation.
• Proven track record of managing tax audits and complex tax issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
