The Account Manager of Technical Services and Quality Control plays a critical role in supporting JDC Power Systems’ safety and operational excellence initiatives. This position ensures the technical integrity of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation and develops relationships with key partners such as Microsoft, Dell, and Master lock.
Responsibilities- Account Management – Ensure technical integrity of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and SOP documentation; collaborate with Microsoft, Dell, and Master lock to strengthen client relationships.
- Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement – Work closely with senior leadership to shape and execute strategies that drive growth and improve field service operations; lead initiatives to increase operational efficiency and service quality.
- Indirect supervision of engineering staff hired under Professional Services.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer – Deliver in‑person and virtual training on electrical safety, arc flash and shock protection, lockout/tagout, and equipment operation; develop and improve standardized training materials; support onboarding and development of new field service technicians.
- Safety & Compliance Support – Reinforce JDC’s safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E and company safety standards; provide remote training of MOPs and SOPs; sit on boards with Director of Operations for ANSI, LOTO, OSHA, NFPA.
- Documentation & Reporting – Develop, review, and update SOPs, EOPs, and safety procedures; ensure certification compliance for technical training services team; support standardized reporting and data capture.
- Collaboration & Customer Engagement – Work closely with National and Regional Field Service leadership; interface directly with customers, vendors, and partners; support customer satisfaction by addressing field issues promptly.
- Health and Safety Compliance – Ensure all field technicians follow company safety protocols and comply with regulations; conduct safety training, audits, and incident investigations; stay updated with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Development of DOL apprenticeship program run in-house at JDC Training HQ.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience – Minimum of 10 years in electrical/mechanical systems in field service, operations, maintenance, safety, or technical consulting roles; experience with power systems equipment (switch gear, circuit breakers, generators, batteries, pumps, transformers). Experience developing or implementing safety, operational, or technical procedures preferred.
- Technical Skills – Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems (120
VAC and above) and mechanical systems; ability to identify energy magnitudes and evaluate energized and de‑energized conditions; proficient in troubleshooting; read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and one‑line drawings. - Professional Skills – Strong written and verbal communication; deliver technical training; proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Additional Skills – Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems; public speaking experience (≈15% of role).
- Certifications – Professional Engineering status (preferred), OSHA safety training (OSHA 30 preferred or obtainable), NFPA 70E training (required or obtainable). Additional electrical, mechanical, or safety-related certifications are a plus (OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP).
This position is primarily remote, with up to 10% travel as needed for meetings and account management. National overnight travel within the continental United States is required approximately 10% of the time. The company will manage travel schedules to support work‑life balance; all travel‑related expenses are company‑funded and covered via corporate credit card.
