We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Associate Laboratory Technician to join our In Vitro DMPK Assay group at our Hoddesdon site. You’ll prepare buffers and solvents, weigh compounds, run automated assay scripts, and ensure accurate data transcription between systems. You’ll also manage inventory, order consumables, log client samples and check equipment performance. Every day brings variety, teamwork and the chance to build real scientific expertise.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong A‑Level science knowledge who enjoys practical lab work, problem‑solving and supporting high‑quality scientific analysis.

• Preparing buffers, solvents and other liquid stocks according to protocols.
• Weighing solid compounds and reagents in preparation for analysis.
• Performing automated assay scripts and processing experimental samples in preparation for analysis.
• Transcribing compound information and analytical output data between computer systems to enable sample analysis.
• Maintaining the laboratory inventory systems and ordering chemicals and consumables as required.
• Receiving and logging client test article shipments into the inventory system.
• Checking the performance of laboratory equipment at regular intervals to demonstrate suitability for use.

• A level in Science (Chemistry or Biology preferred) minimum B grade.
• Basic, practical laboratory skills.
• Good communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Enjoys working in a team and using own initiative and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general Office software.
• Prioritising and scheduling.
