Position: Senior Brand Manager, Dove Body Wash, Baby & LHW, SCL Hoboken, New Jersey

Job Purpose

The U.S. is the biggest Dove Bar market with a strong history of beauty inclusivity and a social mission to help the next generation of young people develop a positive relationship with beauty.

The Brand Manager for Dove Body Wash, Baby, and Liquid Hand Wash is a critical role within the Dove portfolio and within the U.S. Skin Cleansing business.

This position requires a good understanding of brand building, which includes customer and consumer focus, category and channel planning, competitive awareness, Social First Demand Generation and P&L delivery. You will report to the Associate Director, Dove PW U.S. and will contribute significantly via your role on the U.S. Skin Cleansing Business Team. You will also lead a team of 2 associate brand managers to deliver the growth targets on Dove Body Wash, Baby, and Liquid Hand Wash.

Key Responsibilities
  • This position requires strong leadership skills as you will interact with cross‑functional business partners, brand partners in global as well as agencies.
  • Our work starts with understanding what drives our consumers to purchase, and crafting plans based on those insights, including nuances based on the shopping occasion and retail channel.
  • The PW category is highly competitive so it’s important that you have a competitive spirit and hunger to drive more growth.
  • Will need to be agile and persuade those around you to adapt to the changing market dynamics and competitive pressures in order to continue the growth trajectory of the brand.
  • Need to be a natural go‑getter and love getting things done. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo and do what’s best for the customer, consumer and ultimately, the business.
  • Hold a special place in your heart for Unilever’s largest personal care brand and a brand that works hard in everything it does to deliver its social mission.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s desired.
  • Minimum of 6+ years marketing experience in consumer products industry, including the development and implementation of successful marketing plans for products.
  • Brand operations experience, including volume forecasting experience in complex and SKU intensive category.
  • Ability to collaboratively build business with customers across diverse channels/needs/formats.
  • Capacity to oversee and track multiple projects with due dates and varying requirements and priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to being accountable for delivering results plus the ability and initiative to accept high levels of delegated responsibility and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in or demonstrated passion for beauty and personal care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience within the Beauty or Personal Care area.
Pay

The pay range for this position is $119,400 to $179,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus

This position is bonus eligible.
