Position SummaryWalmart Connect's Sales Leadership team seeks an experienced Team Lead to own account strategy, execution, and revenue growth for a key advertiser in the Food space. This seasoned sales executive will lead and develop a high‑performing team of salespeople, account managers, and campaign managers to scale their business.
The ideal candidate is comfortable diving into campaign results with operational partners and presenting customer insights and strategic marketing plans to CMOs and Chief Sales Officers. They will be students of their clients’ businesses, our Walmart ecosystem, and how we can better serve our customers. They bring a solution‑oriented mindset, building world‑class partnerships that deliver significant business growth for clients and Walmart.
They understand how to vertically go deep within a marketer’s organization while navigating Walmart’s teams. The candidate has managed and scaled businesses and has the capability to manage and lead a high‑performing team.
Ideal candidates have extensive experience selling or buying cross‑network online marketing solutions such as programmatic, direct response, search, branding, integrated sponsor ships, display, or video advertising. Experience with in a matrix organization and leadership, coaching, influencing skills are required. Strong consultative sales skills, a collaborative spirit, and comfort with ambiguity are essential.

- Build, inspire, train, and manage a talented, consultative sales and services team.
- Understand clients’ businesses and develop appropriate solutions.
- Deliver the highest level of customer service and present WMC’s solutions positively and professionally.
- Be an industry leader in NYC, Bentonville, Chicago, and/or Los Angeles.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth and serve as a point of escalation.
- Execute projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development.
- Consult with Product Marketing to shape product development for client needs.
- Evangelize WMC with agencies, clients, and at events, conferences, media opportunities and champion product releases internally and externally.
- Forecast and allocate resources efficiently to drive profitable business results.
- Hands‑on experience building, leading, and managing high‑performing teams.
- Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships.
- Strong understanding of advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends.
- Skilled storyteller who communicates the benefit of marketing opportunities to brands.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights and product information into client value.
- Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Proven ability to forge relationships with top marketing decision makers at brands and agencies.
- Demonstrated success leading change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems.
- Provide strong leadership by building, training, coaching, and developing a high‑performing team.
- Demonstrated track record of surpassing targets and growing the scale of business partnerships.
- Ability to move fast, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.
- Ability to influence and communicate cross‑functionally with a strong focus on collaboration.
