The opportunity
EY's Oracle Services practice supports national consulting practices in planning, pursuing, delivering, and managing large, complex full lifecycle application implementations. The practice advises clients on planning, architecting, and implementing core applications and technology required to run their business.
As a Manager in Application Systems Engineering, you will define user requirements, focus on user interface development across diverse platforms, and engineer software components and services to ensure seamless system architecture communication.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Ensuring billability through chargeable work to external clients.
- Leading workstream delivery with strategic oversight.
- Managing project status and overseeing deliverable completion.
- Traveling as required by client engagements.
- Actively participating in client sessions and leading work streams from planning to execution.
- Identifying additional service opportunities to drive sales.
- Leading specific RFP responses and managing engagement economics.
- Executing resource planning within budget constraints.
- Team management with client technology professionals and third-party strategic alliances.
- Demonstrated quality project execution and delivery with monitoring of team economics.
- Architect technology solutions with focus on data flow, migration, and integration across multi‑vendor landscapes.
- Develop people by encouraging independent thinking and responsible contributions.
- Generate new business opportunities by applying EY service lines knowledge.
- Develop long‑term relationships and networks internally and externally.
- Manage and supervise a team through all phases of the technology lifecycle.
- Effective communication with supply chain and technology senior/middle management.
- Proficiency with Agile development methodologies, application integration, and quality assurance.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills; digital fluency and emotional agility.
- 4‑year bachelor’s degree and 4‑6 years of relevant experience.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Technical Lead, Application Development Lead, or Enterprise Application Integration lead, with at least 2 years in a managerial or IT/business integration role.
- 2–3 full‑cycle implementations of Oracle SCM Cloud and 3–4 Oracle EBS Applications focusing on Order Management, Pricing, Inventory, Product Information Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with FBDI, OTBI, REST, and SOAP.
- Track record in integration tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Mule Soft, Dell Boomi, or comparable platforms.
- Experience with Oracle methodologies such as OUM or AIM.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including SOA governance.
- Willingness to travel 60–80% of the work schedule.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or MS preferred).
- Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
