Description
We’re on the hunt for a full-time Controller to join our Finance team. As the Controller, you will have the unique opportunity to make a real impact on Overwolf, its products, and our business groups.
The Controller is responsible for monitoring and maintaining our financial health, from financial statements and analysis to tax compliance. If you are lethal with a spreadsheet and just as sharp with a bow and arrow, your place in our adventure awaits.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including the annual planning cycle and monthly or quarterly updates
- Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results against forecasts and budgets to provide actionable insights
- Develop financial models to evaluate investments, ROI, and what-if scenarios
- Create monthly reporting sets per business unit and department and compare them against budget
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company
- Monitor and control financial transactions and financial reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Take part in monthly and quarterly closing processes
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash flow, billing, and collections
- Liaise with external auditors during financial and operational audits and reviews
- Support tax preparation and filing
- Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Work closely with the CFO on various ad hoc projects
- Internship experience at large accounting firms, preferably in the high-tech sector
- Experience in at least one high-tech company
- Experience in accounting within a global company
- Strong Excel skills
- Native-level English proficiency
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in FP&A and budgeting
- Passion for accounting and finance
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, Net Suite an advantage
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical and professional skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and bilingual communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate maturity
- Passion for innovative solutions, process automation, and continuous improvement
