A Private Equity Firm in the Real Estate space is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Fund Finance/Fund Accounting Associate.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statement packages, including detailed investor capital reporting.
- Perform variance analyses comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, identify key drivers, and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Deliver ongoing financial analysis and KPI reporting to senior management, investors, lenders, and regulators.
- Oversee all fund administration activities in coordination with external administrators and advisors.
- Manage Fund Sources & Uses across multiple funds throughout both the investment and value‑creation phases of the fund lifecycle.
- Monitor compliance with Fund LPA provisions, loan limitations, and financial covenants, including related reporting requirements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to lead monthly and quarterly close processes and drive continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate and supervise tax and regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all required fund tax returns.
- Leverage technology and outsourced solutions to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting and presentation materials.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in public accounting or private equity fund finance/accounting, with strong knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles; real estate/private equity experience preferred.
- Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, and/or real estate private equity roles is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and operate independently in ambiguous situations.
- Self‑motivated individual who independently drives projects to completion by proactively sourcing information and utilizing available resources.
- Demonstrated initiative with a track record of leading process improvements and solving complex challenges.
- Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, automation, and process enhancement.
