School Bus Driver

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from athletic events, field trips, and special events. The ideal candidate is a responsible driver with excellent driving and communication skills, a genuine care for student safety, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor.

• Ensure the safe loading, transport, and unloading of students.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents to the school administration.
• Comply with all traffic regulations, school policies, and state transportation laws.
• Provide a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New Jersey CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous school bus or passenger transport experience preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by state law.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with children and families.
• Punctual, dependable, and safety-focused.

• Typical hours: 2-3 afternoons for athletic events, with occasional morning, mid-day, evening, or weekend assignments for field trips or events. Availability on Wednesday afternoons a must.
• Approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Compensation: $35-45 per hour.
